D47 Calendar - So i have some packets of lalvin d47 that i bought recently. I don't know if the beer recipator is the best tool for this either. I have access to lalvin yeast. D47 alcohol tolerance is about 14%, sometimes more, depending on how happy your yeast is. Have you had success just pitching in must.or do ya really need to. Anyways, i've read that by. I heard it is a good yeast for both mead and some traditional grape wines.
This is my first batch of mead/melomel i have two one gallon carboys going, recipes listed below. How low of a temperature will this ferment? Interested in hearing from folks that use d47. What kinds of yeast do you all use to make mead?
